Our facility is a unique "historical landmark" (Ocala Star Banner December 31, 1999) where you can learn many levels of swimming skills, water safety, synchronized swimming, competitive swimming in a relaxed atmosphere. We would like to take this opportunity to thank you for your patronage and we hope the skills you'll learn will be useful for the rest of your lives.

Swimming has always been a very important part of our lives and background. "I knew at age 13 that teaching people to swim was my calling in life." said Delee Perry "Swimming helped to give me self-confidence, self-discipline, integrity, and courage to face life's challenges head on." Our aim at Perry's Swim School is not to produce a champion but to provide an atmosphere where champions are inevitable.
Swimming in the pool in 1959 wasn't much different than it is now.
If you were alive in 1959 where did you learn to swim? The opening of our large pool was quite a celebration for both the City of Ocala, and for the founders Newton A. Perry and Dorothy R. Perry. Radio station WHYS, the Ocala Star Banner, Mayor of Ocala, and the beautiful Belles from Cypress Gardens were all present. This was a dream come true for Newt and Dot.
